National Assembly endorses govt policies and programs

KATHMANDU, May 23:  The government's policies and programs for the next fiscal year have been passed by the National Assembly.

KATHMANDU, May 23:  The government's policies and programs for the next fiscal year have been passed by the National Assembly.


Earlier on May 19, President Ramchandra Paudel presented the government's policies and programs at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament. The policies and programs were passed by a majority in the meeting of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Amendment proposals put forth by Tulasa Kumari Dahal, Bimala Ghimire and Dr Bimala Rai Poudyal were rejected by the majority.


Prior to the endorsement, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal responded to queries raised by upper house lawmakers during the deliberation over the policies and programmes.


The National Assembly shall meet again at 13.01 pm on May 28.
