KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has rescheduled the date for the second phase of local level elections on June 23.
The decision came from the government following the consensus with the agitating Rastriya JAnata Party-Nepal (RJPN) on Sunday. The cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday afternoon decided to postpone the date by 10 days, Minister for Science and Technology, Prem Bahadur Singh told Republica online.

The government had fixed June 14 for the second phase of local polls in Province 1, 2,5 and 7.
The agitating RJPN has demanded to postpone the date of the election for their participation.
