KATHMANDU, Aug 2: As COVID-19 cases are increasing at an alarming rate in Province 2, the government has sent high-level health workers to fight the outbreak in the province.
Speaking at a regular virtual press briefing, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the government has sent a team of health workers led by Dr Dipendra Raman Singh.

"The team has been sent to the affected areas of the province such as Birgunj and Janakpur. The team will help control the outbreak in the province," said Gautam.
In the last 15 days, at least 10 people have already died in the province due to the COVID-19 infection. The number of cases is also increasing at an alarming rate in the province.
Spokesperson Gautam further added that the government will medical send teams to the affected areas as and when needed.
