KATHMANDU, Dec 15: The government has designated no-strike zones by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette. The government has published a list of areas where strikes are prohibited.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that strike-prohibited areas have been determined in accordance with the Essential Services Operation Act 2014.

According to the notice published in the Nepal Gazette, essential services related to post, telephone, transportation services for passengers or cargo via land, water, or air, airport, and aircraft maintenance and operation, are not subject to strikes.
Similarly, the government has said that no strike shall be allowed in the areas of communication, print or government printing services, tourism accommodation, motels, hotels, restaurants and resort services, internal security, arms procurement or any other military equipment production and distribution.
