"The Ministry recognizes that the mass communications media should become objective and follow the facts and truth while disseminating news and become self-committed to professional ethics," reads the statement issued by the MoCIT spokesperson and joint-secretary Rishi Ram Tiwari, “Furthermore, any media should not produce, public and disseminate reports that could cause harm to the nationality and self-pride of a country.”

The ministry has also thanked the Nepal Digital Cable Operators for becoming responsible and voluntarily stopping the broadcasting of some Indian media channels in the country, in view of their reports hurting national sentiments through their baseless accusation against Nepal's respected institution and leadership.
