Govt to disburse six billion rupees to builders ahead of Dashain

KATHMANDU, Oct 20: In an effort to address outstanding liabilities incurred by builders in the last fiscal year 2022/23 due to resource constraints, the government has taken a significant step by allocating six billion rupees for disbursement before the upcoming Dashain festival.

The Ministry of Finance has confirmed this decision and communicated it to relevant government offices through an official circular. A spokesperson from the ministry stated, "In response to the urgent needs of these builders, the Ministry of Finance has formulated a policy decision to expedite these payments, ensuring that the allocated funds reach the builders' accounts prior to the Dashain festival."
