Govt to hold investment summit to bring in FDI

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The government is going to hold an investment summit to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The government is going to hold an investment summit to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country.


Preparations have been made to hold the investment summit on April 21-22, 2024. The summit has been planned to promote Nepal as an investment destination and attract foreign investors.

A preparatory committee has been formed under the coordination of Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat for the summit. The chief executive officer of  Investment Board Nepal, Sushil Bhatta, has been appointed as the committee's member secretary.


The Investment Board is going to do the coordination work of the summit preparation. Similarly, a coordination committee has been formed under the main committee. The Investment Board has started preparations for the summit. The government had previously held an investment summit in the month of Falgun (mid-February to mid-March), 2073 BS and Chaitra (mid-March to mid-April), 2075 BS. 


Development partners, friendly countries, foreign investors will be invited to the investment summit.
