Govt to make diplomatic efforts to reclaim Nepali territory

KATHMANDU, March 20: The government is to take an effective diplomatic move to take back the Nepali territory of Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, Kalapani, Susta, and other sites.    


The Common Minimum Policy Priorities and Resolve of the new coalition made public on Tuesday has stated to include this issue.


"Nepal's nationality, sovereignty, territorial indivisibility, independence, pride and safeguarding national interests will be kept at the center," the Common Minimum Policy Priorities and Resolve of the government reads.

Likewise, Nepal's foreign policy will be guided by the UN Charter, the principle of Panchsheel, concept of world peace, international commitment. Similarly, it will be a rule-based, independent, neutral, and non-aligned foreign policy.


Similarly, balanced, credible, and friendly ties with both the neighboring countries and all friendly countries will be maintained by keeping sovereign equality, mutual interests, and respect at the center.


The document has stated to review the existing treaties and agreements to protect and promote Nepal's national interests and effectively manage the borders.      


Furthermore, the government has announced to address the genuine concerns of the non-resident Nepalis while utilizing their skills and capital for the cause of national interests.
