Govt transfers 48 SPs and 120 DSPs of Nepal Police

KATHMANDU, Sep 2: The government has transferred 48 Superintendents of Police (SP) and 120 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) of Nepal Police.

KATHMANDU, Sep 2: The government has transferred 48 Superintendents of Police (SP) and 120 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) of Nepal Police.


Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Kunwar transferred SP and DSP simultaneously on Friday.

According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, the transferred SPs and DSPs will continue to receive their salary allowances based on their previous positions until they assume their new roles, starting from the month of Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September).


Among the notable transfers, Kaski SP Ajay KC has been transferred to the Police Angrakshak Battalion in Naxal, while Kaji Kumar Acharya of the Angrakshak Battalion has been transferred as the head of District Police Office, West Nawalparasi.


Similarly, DSP Angur GC of the Maharajgunj Police Circle has been transferred to the Crime Control and Investigation Branch of Kathmandu District Police Range. DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa, who previously served in the Personnel Administration Branch of the Human Resource Development Department at Police Headquarters, has been transferred to the Maharajgunj Police Circle.


Additionally, DSP Anantram Sharma, formerly stationed in the Human Resource Management Branch of the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwar, will now be posted at the National Security Council Secretariat in Singha Durbar.
