During an inspection conducted by the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, the shops were warned not to do any activities that are contrary to the Consumer Protection Act, and the airport office says that since the DoCSM is the body that monitors the market price and quality of goods, it should also monitor the shops at the TIA.

Minister Kirati’s monitoring found that the shops in the domestic and international terminal buildings of the airport were selling goods at a price higher than the MRP, and in some cases there was no price tag at all.
