KATHMANDU, July 3: The birth centenary of former President of Nepali Congress (NC) and former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is being marked today across the country by organizing several programmes.
Koirala, who was born on Asadh 18, 1981 had died on 6 Chaitra 6 2066 BS.

On the occasion, NC's sister and benevolent organizations are organizing various programmes, including blood donation, fruits distribution, talk programme and illumination events.
Former President Koirala had spearheaded the epochal peace process to bring the then rebel CPN (Maoist) that had waged armed struggle to the mainstream politics and establish republic in the country.
Koirala had served the country as a five-time Prime Minister and NC President for long time.
