Coolers and Refreshers

The mango summer coolers available are refreshing, delicious and healthy drinks that both kids and adults can enjoy. While some drinks are sweet and cool, just perfect for summer, others are a combination of mild spices and salty Indian flavors. Overall, each drink has its own unique flavor, taste, and appearance.

The first drink that was offered to us was Berries Mango Splash. This is a unique drink prepared and designed uniquely at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee. It is made with a combination of fresh whole milk, cream, mango, wild berries, and minted pistachio. The drink is freshly served, is healthy, and full of contrasting flavors that go really well together.

Then came Aam ki Madke wale Manthan that was equally delicious. This drink is similar to ‘Lassi’, a famous yogurt based drink consumed by many during summer season in the Indian subcontinent. It’s prepared by blending yogurt with fresh mango pulp and saffron. And it’s topped with finely diced mangos and roasted almond flakes.

One of the most popular mango-based drink at this place is the Herbal Khatta Meetha Aam. To make this drink, sweet and sour raw mango pulp is blended with dry ginger and fresh mint. Overall, this flavorful drink is a beautiful combination of slightly tangy, sour, and sweet elements.

And lastly, Aam Panna Tadke Wala was an extremely refreshing drink that almost had us swooning in delight. Made of raw mangos, it’s a very popular summer drink in India and is also popularly known for its heat resistant properties. At Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee, you can enjoy the drink in its authentic form. Blended charcoal roasted raw mango, coriander, black salt, and green chili is tempered with mustard and asafetida to give this drink a unique salty, sour, and spicy taste.

Light Desserts

Mango Misu

This wonderful sweet dish is inspired by the coffee-flavored Italian dessert we know as Tiramisu. Tiramisu literally translates to ‘lift me up’ or ‘cheer me up’ which is exactly what this dessert does to you. The dish is made of fresh mango layered with soft sponge, mascarpone cheese, and cream. The rich blend of coca powder, savory mascarpone cheese and fresh mangoes is what makes this dish perfect for a unique after-dinner indulgence.

Indo Swiss Fantasy

This surprisingly beautiful blend of Indian and Swiss recipe is a must try at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee. While the carrot savories included in this dish give it a flavor of an Indian sweet dish, the garnishing and presentation makes it look like a Swiss dessert. If you are a mango lover, you wouldn’t want to miss out on this dish.

Mango and Fig Strudel

Now if you want to indulge in a recipe that is not only delicious but also healthy, then this is the best option for you. This dish with stretched dough, fresh mango, apple, fig and cinnamon filling is not very sweet and thus extremely appetizing. The blend of flavors will have you craving for more.

Napolitano Mango

This dish is one of the bestsellers this season as specialized chefs at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee have been able to give a delicious twist to the traditional cheesecake. It’s a rich sweet tart made up of Bavarian mango cream on a biscuit base. The creamy filling and the tender base are what make this dish so tempting. This dessert in itself is not very sweet but you will be provided with a sweet mango sauce if you want to add more richness and sweetness to the dish.

Aam Kheer Ki Sangam

If you are fond of Indian sweet dishes, we are sure you will love this too. Kheer is a sweet Indian rice pudding made in the Indian subcontinent, usually topped with cardamom, pistachio, cashews, raisins, and almonds. But Kheer at Crown Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee has been modified to create a mouth watering mango based dessert.

In this dish, the classical delicacy of Indian traditional reduced milk is blended with fresh mango pulp and served with lovely homemade ice-cream.

World Cup 2018

A large variety of exclusive cocktails and mocktails are being served at Rodi Bar in Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee this World Cup season. Here you can watch live World Cup on a huge projector screen and enjoy fancy cocktails, mocktails, and selected finger foods while cheering for your favorite team.

Expresso Martini is a must try at Rodi Bar. It’s a delicious coffee flavored cocktail made of vodka (30ml), expresso coffee (20 ml), coffee liqueur (20 ml) and sugar syrup (10 ml). Garnished with a few coffee beans, this is a sophisticated drink and a perfect recipe for any occasion.

Berries Special mocktail served at this place is perfect for hot summer days. It’s fresh, fruity and refreshing – just what you need when the temperature shows no signs of dropping. The drink is prepared by muddling fresh mulberries and adding fresh mint, lemon juice, and sprite to it.

Date: Till July 15, 2018

Time: 3:00 pm - 11:55 pm

Noodles and stone bowl

The Chinese menu prepared especially for this event is authentic and alluring. It’s created to help you discover the exotic culinary delights of China in its traditional form. The stone bowls in which your dishes will be served at this occasion are imported from China itself. These bowls help in keeping the food warm for a long time and lend an authentic feel to the cuisine as well.

Soft Noodles with Tomato and Eggs is a delicious dish made of fresh tomato, garlic, egg, spring onions and soya sauce. This cuisine is slightly sweet and has a hint of sourness too. It’s great for people who don’t like having spicy food but don’t want their food to be too bland either.

Wok Fried Rice Stick Noodles with Vegetable and Chili Sambal Sauce is a great vegetarian dish with medium hot spices. The essential ingredients for this dish such as soya sauce, oil and chili sambal sauce are imported from China. With great aroma, flavorful taste, and sufficient quantity, this dish is a great option for both lunch and dinner.
