SIMKOT, Nov 7: The Lali Health Post at Kharpunath Rural Municipality-1 in the mountainous Humla district is reeling under lack of the medicines which are supposed to be provided by the government for free.

As a result, patients visiting the health post have suffered. Many children and elderly people, in particular, have been suffering from viral fever, said a local resident Birjan Shahi. "Health workers at the health facility have returned patients empty-handed without any medicines," he said. The matter has become worse for the local people as another health facility nearby is an hour's walk from the rural municipality.
