KATHMANDU, July 10: Today's hearing on Bharatpur vote counting dispute was postponed until July 17, citing a lack of time.

Justices—Om Prakash Mishra and Purushottam Bhandari, who were scheduled to conduct the hearing, failed to manage time for the same, resulting in the postponement, said Joint-Spokesperson of the SC, Bishwo Raj Poudel.

Earlier on July 7, a division bench of justices Mira Khadka and Anil Kumar Sinha failed to conclude the hearing.

Advocate Tulasi Pandey and CPN-UML candidate for Bharatpur Metropolitan City-19 Gunjan Man BK had filed a writ petition against the Election Commission's decision to hold re-elections in the metropolis-19 after the vote counting halted following the tearing of ballot papers during the vote count.
