Hearing on writ petitions filed against HoR dissolution not to be conducted on Tuesday

The hearing on the writ petitions against the move of Prime Minister K P Oli to dissolve the parliament will resume again on Wednesday as the Supreme Court has decided to put off all the hearings scheduled for Tuesday to mourn over the death of former justice Indra Raj Pandey.

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The ongoing hearing on the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) will not be continued on Tuesday.


The hearing on the writ petitions against the move of Prime Minister K P Oli to dissolve the parliament will resume again on Wednesday as the Supreme Court has decided to put off all the hearings scheduled for Tuesday to mourn over the death of former justice Indra Raj Pandey.

Former SC Justice Pandey breathed his last at his own residence in New Baneshwar on Monday morning. He was 90.


Also served as a member of the Mallik Commission, Pandey had been suffering from nerve related diseases. Pandey’s last rites were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Monday itself.
