KATHMANDU, June 23: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy rain in the Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces today.
According to the MFD, the monsoon system is currently affecting most areas of the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces as well as the eastern areas of the Lumbini province. Additionally, there is a partial influence of local and westerly winds in the remaining regions.
Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi and Madhesh provinces today
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is currently occurring in a few places in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and in one or two places in the Lumbini province.
The MFD has indicated that the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in the remaining provinces.
There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two locations in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
The weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces tonight.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some places in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
