KATHMANDU, July 8: Himalaya Airlines is set to operate repatriation flights to Saudi Arabia and Philippines on Saturday. Likewise, the airlines will conduct one flight to Malaysia on Sunday.
The company has set US dollar 465 as airfare for the Dammam (Saudi Arabia) flight, USD 700 for Manila (Philippines) and USD 372 for Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) flights. The fares are inclusive of applicable taxes, according to the company.
NAC to operate flights to Japan, China and Saudi Arabia
The company is also conducting two charter flights to Tianjin, China-- one at 23:50 PM tonight and one at 8:50 AM Thursday. The ticket price for the flights has been set for USD 699. Each passenger will be allowed to carry 30 kilograms check-in-baggage and 7 kilograms hand carry.
In line with Nepal government’s permission and authorization, the Nepal-China joint venture has been operating repatriation flights to bring back Nepalis stranded in different foreign countries due to COVID-19.
The company will conduct the charter flights only if the aircraft has 85 percent occupancy. All passengers are required to present proof that their PCR or RDT test is negative at the time of the booking. As per the rules enforced by the government, it is mandatory for the passengers to stay in quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival in Nepal.
