Himalayan Art Festival concludes

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: The second edition of Himalayan Art Festival concluded on Saturday at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal. Organized by the E-Arts Nepal, the festival was geared toward promoting the artworks of Nepali artists in Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: The second edition of Himalayan Art Festival concluded on Saturday at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal. Organized by the E-Arts Nepal, the festival was geared toward promoting the artworks of Nepali artists in Nepal. 


Erina Tamarkar, one of the coordinators of the organization, stated: “To provide a platform for aspiring artists to sell their artworks, E-Arts Nepal hosted the exhibition for the second time.”

Altogether 135 artists participated in the festival featuring paubha arts, prints, sculptures, installations, ceramics, and photographs. The festival also featured other activities including a musical performance by Salil Subedi and a panel discussion by various art dignitaries. On the final day, a performance art by six artists, and theatrical performance by Actor’s Studio were also featured.


The five-day-long festival was jointly inaugurated by Sangeeta Thapa, director of Siddhartha Art Gallery, Ritu Singh Vaidya, managing director of United Traders Syndicate, and Prama Rana, managing director of Shaligram Hotel on Tuesday.
