KATHMANDU, April 25: Three years ago today, Nepal was struck by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake. With the epicenter in Barpark, Gorkha, the earthquake is also known as Gorkha quake.

KATHMANDU, April 25: Three years ago today, Nepal was struck by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake. With the epicenter in Barpark, Gorkha, the earthquake is also known as Gorkha quake.


More than 9,000 people lost their lives while 500,000 families were rendered homeless in 32 affected districts. Of the districts, 14 sustained serious damages.
