Home Minister directs govt bodies to repair ATM and X-ray machines at TIA to ensure hassles-free travel

KATHMANDU, April 18: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the subordinate bodies to resolve problems seen at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). 


Home Minister Khand directed chiefs of government bodies concerned at the Ministry today to discuss the problems seen at the TIA, according to Home Ministry Spokesperson Phinandra Mani Pokharel, who was also present in the meeting.

Others present on the occasion were Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Chief of General Administration Division at the ministry Tek Bahadur KC, Director General of the Department of Immigration Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, and Chief Immigration Officer at TIA Pushpa Raj Shahi; TIA General Manager Prem Nath Thakur, Technical Security Chief Teknath Sitaula and Corporate Chief Mahendra Khanal. 


The Minister's direction came amid complaints that passengers are facing unnecessary hassles at the TIA. “ATM machines and x-ray machines need to be repaired immediately at TIA to ease customer service,” Minister Khand stressed.
