The Office of the President, issuing a statement on Friday, said that on the recommendation of Prime Minister Deuba, Home Minister Khand has been assigned the responsibility of carrying out the day-to-day administrative work of the Prime Minister.


As Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba left for a three-day official visit to India on Friday, Home Minister Khand was appointed the acting prime minister.
