Hong Kong lose to UAE by 6 wickets in T-20 series

KATHMANDU, Oct 22: In the tri-nation T20 series, Hong Kong suffered a defeat from the UAE by 6 wickets.


The UAE successfully chased down the target of 150 runs set by Hong Kong, reaching the total in just 18 overs in the match played at Mulpani Cricket Ground on Sunday.


Hong Kong managed to score 149 runs while losing five wickets within the allotted 20 overs. In pursuit of this target, the UAE secured 153 runs with 12 balls to spare, having lost four wickets in the process.

On the UAE side, Zahoor Khan claimed three wickets, and Nilansh Keshwani took two wickets, with Khan also being named the player of the match.


For the UAE, Mohammad Wasim scored 40 runs, Khalid Shah added 37 runs, Vritya Arvind posted 29 runs, Alishan Sharfu contributed 20 runs, Asif Khan scored 12 runs, and Basil Hameed managed 11 runs.


Yasim Murtaza took two wickets for Hong Kong, while Ehsan Khan and Nizakat Khan each took one wicket.


The upcoming match in this series will feature Nepal taking on the UAE at Mulpani on Sunday at 11AM. Nepal has already secured victories in three consecutive matches.


Another match is scheduled between Hong Kong and the UAE on Wednesday, with the final match of this series set to take place on Friday at the Kirtipur International Cricket Ground.
