KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The House of Representatives (HoR) has approved the bill to amend some laws related to the Prevention of Money Laundering and Promotion of Business Environment 2079 BS.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dhanraj Gurung presented the bill for approval in the meeting of the HoR held on Wednesday.

Minister Gurung's proposal was submitted by the speaker for decision. Lawmakers have designed a bill to amend some acts to create a financial environment and promote a business environment for money laundering and terrorist activities.
The bill was approved by the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee on October 11, 2023. The parliamentarians of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal Workers Peasants Party and others filed amendment proposals on the bill.
The next meeting of the HoR has been called to be held on February 18 at 11 AM.
