KATHMANDU, June 13: A parliamentary committee has called Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to collect information regarding his upcoming visit to the United States of America (USA).
A meeting of the International Relations Committee under the House of Representatives held at Singha Durbar on Monday decided to invite the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister to the committee to discuss the implementation of foreign policy, according to committee chairperson Pavitra Niraula Kharel. She said that the discussion on the implementation of foreign policy has started in the meeting of the committee.

She said, "Today we had a very serious discussion and some issues have not been resolved yet," she said. This is our beginning. We have started the meeting in the context of foreign policy implementation. This issue has been clarified by all the members. We are going to invite the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister in the coming days. The committee will convene a meeting of the committee and hold a wide-ranging discussion.”
Earlier, the main opposition party, CPN-UML had demanded the government inform parliament about the PM's upcoming visit to the USA.
