House session prorogued from midnight today

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The government has decided to prorogue the ongoing House session from midnight today.


President Bidya Devi Bhandari prorogued the House session from midnight Friday as per the recommendation made by the Cabinet on Thursday. Earlier, Speaker Agni Sapkota had put off the house meeting till November 15 amid continuing obstruction made by the lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party.

Issuing a notice on Friday, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Dr Bharatraj Gautam announced that the HoR meeting of November 15 has also been deferred.
