KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Websurfer, one of the top 10 ISPs of Nepal by subscriber volume and Huawei, a leading global ICT infrastructure provider, have made a partnership agreement for the ISP’s digital transformation. The two companies have now joined hands to bring Huawei’s technological leadership into the reach of Nepali internet users. Huawei will be responsible for providing end-to-end network solutions and optical, intelligent technologies to Websurfer starting this year.
According to a statement issued by Huawei Technologies Nepal Co Pvt Ltd, Huawei will assist the ISP in the development of its network infrastructure and architecture. Huawei will also provide continuous technical support and expert assistance to Websurfer. In addition to this, Huawei will conduct training programs for Websurfer staff for their own capacity building.

“This is a long-term and strategic partnership that will create win-win gains for our two companies,” the statement quoted Huawei Nepal CEO, William Zhang, as saying. “We are creating a future-proof network for Websurfer and bringing Huawei’s latest consumer-end equipment to Nepal so that subscribers can have a smooth experience using Websurfer’s internet”, he added.
MD of Websurfer, Suren Chhetri said, “As a result of this partnership, Websurfer subscribers will soon be able take advantage of latest Huawei Internet products, high speed fiber internet, more reliable and stable network, seamless WiFi roaming features, and overall have a smooth user experience without any interruptions or downtime. We strongly believe Huawei will keep us ahead of growing technologies and provide the latest technological experiences to our subscribers.”
