I have fulfilled most responsibilities given by people in Kathmandu metropolis: Mayor Shakya

KATHMANDU, March 19: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Bidya Sundar Shakya has claimed that he has fulfilled many of the responsibilities given by the people of the metropolis.

KATHMANDU, March 19: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Bidya Sundar Shakya has claimed that he has fulfilled many of the responsibilities given by the people of the metropolis.


Inaugurating the ward office building at ward no. 14 on Saturday, Mayor Shakya said that he has created a proper working environment by giving an ample budget to all the wards.

Stating that he did not hesitate giving adequate budget to all the wards, creating a favorable working environment as well as mobilizing the necessary teams for that, Mayor Shakya, however, admitted that he would not claim that all the works have been completed.


Mayor Shakya said that there was continuous development and construction work during his tenure and he had contributed as much as he could to realize those works. He also clarified that all the ward offices under the metropolis could not be constructed due to various issues.


Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Hari Prabha Khadgi said that the work of all ward offices have been taken forward by giving sewage management the first priority to make the city hygienic one.
