I have not done anything wrong: Judge Koirala

KATHMANDU, June 22: Kathmandu District Court Judge Raj Kumar Koirala has claimed that he has done nothing wrong after an audio recording of an Rs 20 million deal between him and Advocate Rudra Pokharel to release Icha Raj Tamang on bail was made public on Tuesday through the media.

KATHMANDU, June 22: Kathmandu District Court Judge Raj Kumar Koirala has claimed that he has done nothing wrong after an audio recording of an Rs 20 million deal between him and Advocate Rudra Pokharel to release Icha Raj Tamang on bail was made public on Tuesday through the media. 


Sharing through his Facebook, Koirala expressed concern over the audio clip being made public through the media and requested the judiciary to investigate the matter.

“My concern has been drawn toward the matter that was made public regarding me. Despite various influences and pressures, I have played a fair role. I am fully committed to being investigated by the Judicial Council,” Koirala wrote. 


Ichchha Raj Tamang has been arrested on the charge of defrauding the public of Rs 8 billion. He was ordered to be remanded in custody by the Kathmandu District Court on December 29, 2021.
