KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that it is sad that the necessary laws for the implementation of the fundamental rights of the citizens could not be enacted.
He said this while addressing the 27th anniversary function of Shaheed Gangalal National Heart Center on Sunday.
Scramble to meet deadline on fundamental right laws
PM Dahal promised to advance the process of making laws and ensuring the fundamental rights as soon as possible. He said that by building special hospitals in all the seven provinces, connecting the treatment related to heart disease with the hospitals of the seven provinces is a high priority. He pledged his support to develop Gangalal Hospital as an educational center.
He said, "It is the fundamental right of the people to get health services. It is the responsibility of the state to fulfill it. The necessary laws to implement that fundamental right have not yet been enacted. I want to assure you that the law and construction process will be carried out as soon as possible to bring the fundamental rights to life and practice.”
PM Dahal said that there are many challenges to be solved in the country. He said that some developments have shown signs of growing resentment towards the society and the state. He said that the government will also emphasize on organizing the personnel system.
