ILLAM, April 24: The Nepal-India border will be 'sealed' from midnight today in preparation for the by-elections to be held in Ilam Constituency-2 on April 28.

ILLAM, April 24: The Nepal-India border will be 'sealed' from midnight today in preparation for the by-elections to be held in Ilam Constituency-2 on April 28.


The District Administration Office has issued a notice to seal the Indian borders along the district starting from 12 AM tonight.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Indradev Yadav stated that the border will remain sealed until midnight on the day of the by-election. CDO Yadav said, “The sealing of the Indian border aims to ensure clean, fair, fearless, peaceful, and effective elections."
