KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Shalom Club Nepal, a community of Nepalis educated and trained in Israel, lit candles in memory of the 10 Nepali students who were killed in Israel.

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Shalom Club Nepal, a community of Nepalis educated and trained in Israel, lit candles in memory of the 10 Nepali students who were killed in Israel.


The Club lit the candles and observed one minute of silence, mourning the death of students at a function held in the Bauddha Monastery, Kathmandu.

The Club’s office-bearers including acting president Kapil Dev Regmi, general members, and friends from Israel attended the candlelight vigil. It was also attended by Israeli students who have come to Nepal for social service at various educational institutes in Nepal.


Regmi, the acting president of the Club, extended deep condolences to the bereaved families, reaffirming the Club's unwavering support for Israel. Regmi also highlighted the profound impact of this loss on both Israeli and Nepali communities, marking it as a grim chapter in history that must not repeat.
