KATHMANDU, July 10: According to the lunar month (Chandramas), the fasting of the first Monday of the month of Shrawan has started from today. According to the solar month (Sauryamas), this year, the month of Shrawan (July/August) has additional months (Adhikmas) so the fast has started from today.
According to the lunar month, the occurrence of the full moon takes place following two Mondays. On this occasion, the Pashupatinath temple is crowded with pilgrims. Devotees have been thronging Pashupatinath since morning to visit the Pashupatinath temple and worship.

There will be a huge crowd of devotees especially from India since the beginning of the month of Shrawan. In the month of Shrawan, the Pashupatinath temple will also be crowded with Bol Bam devotees who bring holy water from Sundarijal and offer it to Lord Shiva at the Pashupatinath temple.
