KATHMANDU, June 20: Arrival of monsoon has boosted zeal and happiness of farmers. Farmers are seen busy working in fields, toiling and planting paddy saplings with a hope of a good harvest. The government has been marking National Paddy Day of 15th day of the Nepali month of Asar.There is a tradition of eating curd and beaten rice on that day.
In Nepal, agriculture is a major contributing factor in GDP.
