KATHMANDU, Nov 23: In Balkhu, supporters of the Durga Prasai-leed group pelted stones at the police. After the demonstrators hurled stones and bricks at the police, the latter responded with water cannons and tear gas.

When a group of protestors tried to enter the prohibited area, the police fired tear gas shells along with water cannons. The police used force after the protestors tried to break the police cordon and go towards Kalimati.
Some people were also injured in the clashes between the two sides.
