Inclusive and participatory democracy needed for alternative politics: Dr Bhattarai

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party and former prime minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that today’s alternative politics is all about strengthening institutions by strengthening democracy.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party and former prime minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that today’s alternative politics is all about strengthening institutions by strengthening democracy.


He said this while addressing the first general convention of Bibeksheel Sajha Party which started in Kathmandu from Friday. He said that alternative politics will not exclude anyone but will move everyone forward together and strengthen the institutions.

He mentioned that alternative politics of the present day is inclusive and participatory democracy. He said that the next agenda of alternative politics is to strengthen the systems of the country and maintain good governance.


He also said that the agenda of the third phase of alternative politics should be to protect democracy, complete the imperfections of democracy, and take the country to the middle level of prosperity in a short period of time.
