Independence Day of Pakistan observed in Nepal (with video)

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal organized a special function to mark 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan, on Wednesday morning.

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal organized a special function to mark 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan, on Wednesday morning.


On the occasion, the embassy organized the flag-hoisting ceremony on its premises at Maharajgunj in the capital.

Pakistan observes its Independence Day on August 14 every year after its separation from India in 1947.


During the event, an embassy official recited the message delivered by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. In his message, Prime Minister Khan has urged all the Pakistani people to unite for safeguarding national integrity and sovereignty.


Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali addressed a program organized to mark the 72nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The program was organized by Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association.
