India increases grant assistance to Nepal, sets aside Rs 15.87 billion for FY 2021/2022

KATHMANDU, Feb 1: India has increased its annual grant assistance to Nepal for fiscal year 2021/2022.


Nepal will be getting Rs 15.87 billion in grants from India for fiscal year 2021/2022, according to India’s Ministry of Finance.

The grant amount has increased by Rs 1.79 billion in comparison to the same allocated for Nepal by the Indian government in the last fiscal year. Last year, the government of India had allocated Rs 14.08 billion.


Likewise, the southern neighbor had set aside Rs 19.17 billion for Nepal in fiscal year 2019/2020.


India has allocated a massive Rs 33.98 billion for Bhutan, while Rs 16.4 billion for Mauritius for FY 2021/2022.
