India's COVID-19 tally rises to 42,780,235

NEW DELHI, Feb 18: India's COVID-19 tally rose to 42,780,235 on Friday, as 25,920 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's latest data. Besides, 492 deaths due to the pandemic since Thursday morning took the total death toll to 510,905.

Besides, 492 deaths due to the pandemic since Thursday morning took the total death toll to 510,905.

There are still 292,092 active COVID-19 cases in the country with a fall of 40,826 active cases during the past 24 hours. This was the 25th consecutive day when the number of active cases declined in the country. A total of 41,977,238 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals so far, out of which 66,254 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
