Indian President congratulates President Paudel

KATHMANDU, March 14: President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu has congratulated Ram Chandra Paudel on his assumption to the post of the new President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

KATHMANDU, March 14: President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu has congratulated Ram Chandra Paudel on his assumption to the post of the new President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.


In a letter addressed to President Paudel, Indian President Murmu has expressed the confidence that the wide ranging cooperation between India and Nepal would be strengthened further under President Paudel's able guidance. "I look forward to working closely with you in nurturing and further strengthening our bilateral partnership," she said in the message.

Stating that as close and friendly neighbors, India and Nepal enjoy cordial and multifaceted relations, characterized by deep civilisational, cultural, and people-to-people ties, the Indian president said that the last several years have seen Indo-Nepal relations achieving significant progress in a variety of areas, bringing mutual benefit to the people of the two countries.


In the message, President Murmu also conveyed her best wishes for President Paudel's good health and well being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Nepal.
