DANG, Aug 22: An inebriated man shot two people dead following a minor dispute at Gadawa VDC-5, in Deukhuri.


According to police, Karna Bahadur Pun, a local, shot two people dead at Gadhawa VDC-5 in Deukhuri, bordering India.


The deceased are Raju Roka, 35, and Kaluran Roka, 25, of Gadhawa VDC-5, Area Police Office, Gadhawa told Republica Online.

According to police, Pun shot at Raju and Kaluram with a homemade gun over minor dispute under the influence of alcohol on Sunday night.


All the three were drinking alcohol at the house of Bhagiram Roka.


Karna Bahadur, in a fit of rage, who returned home at the request of the villagers following the dispute, turned up with a hand-made gun again and opened fire at Raju and Kaluram.


According to police, Kaluram who received a bullet in his waist succumbed to injury while being rushed to Kohalpur while injury-ridden Raju breathed his last in the course of treatment at Kohalpur Hospital on Monday morning.


Assailant Karna Bahadur is on the run. Police have intensified a manhunt to nab the culprit.
