Long bank queues mean losing precious money too, not just time. It’s been more than 10 days since the government announced cash clean-up. While people line up at banks to withdraw, deposit or exchange the invalid Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, they stand to lose about Rs 1,150 in a day just by waiting in the long queues.

While people line up at banks to withdraw, deposit or exchange the invalid Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, they stand to lose about Rs 1,150 in a day just by waiting in the long queues. This infographic attempts to show how much a person can lose during the long hours of wait. 



It’s been more than 10 days since the government announced its cash clean-up. While people line up at banks to exchange the invalid banknotes for new ones, or take out cash from ATMs, they stand to lose up to Rs 1,150 in a day.
