Information Minister assures to implement minimum wages to working journalists

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has committed to implementing the recommendations made by the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee regarding the wages and services of the working journalists.

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has committed to implementing the recommendations made by the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee regarding the wages and services of the working journalists.



While receiving the memorandum submitted by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in the Ministry today, Minister Karki assured to implement any such decision made by the previous government.



On the occasion, Minister suggested addressing the issues of big and small media houses separately.



Similarly, FNJ President Dr Mahendra Bista urged the Minister to implement the decision of the previous government regarding the minimum wage of the working journalists.



FNJ Kathmandu chair Govinda Chaulagain called for concession on tax on the vehicles purchased by media houses and journalists. RSS
