BARDIYA, Aug 3: A man-eater Royal Bengal tiger has been relocated to Bardiya National Park in Bardiya district.
Located in a sugarcane field of Dodhara-Chandani municipality-2, Kanchanpur district with the help of a drone, the prowling wild cat was taken under control with a dart.
The tiger, estimated to be of 12 years, is learnt to have fatally attacked 26-year-old Hiradevi Shah in Kanchapur while she was collecting grass some time ago.

Currently, the tiger has been kept at Rambhapur Post's enclosure in the Bardiya National Park.
According to Ayush Maharjan, veterinary doctor at the Park, the tiger was not fit as fiddle. He described that its tooth was also loosened while its claws and limbs frail.
The beast had a wound on its back while one of its injured limbs was already infected with maggot. It is assumed that the sick beast must have entered Nepal from the bordering jungle in India.
The enclosure in the Bardiya National Park can house six tigers of Royal Bengal species that need treatment and special care. There are currently three such tigers.
The Park authority, however, complained that the tigers could not be fed enough due to financial crunch.
Other problems facing in care of sick tigers are lack of sanitation, insufficient habitat, dearth of treatment facility and routine monitoring.
