Inmates celebrate Bhaitika in Banepa (with photos)

BANEPA, Oct 29: Prisoners at the district prison celebrated Bhaitika today.

The inmates inside the prison received tika from their sisters in the prison located in Dhulikhel.


According to Jailer Jung Bahadur Rai, the prison management had arranged space and time for the inmates to observe Bhaitika, the most important day of five-day-long Tihar festival. Tihar is one of the greatest festivals observed by Nepali people, mainly Hindus.



Sisters of the inmates had come from far away to put tika to their brothers. There are a total of 240 prisoners at the district prison in Kavrepalanchowk.
