Panelists Subhash Ghimire, editor in chief of Republica National Daily, Amigo Khadka, teacher at King's College, Khem R. Lakai Che, founder of Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE), and Dr Bidya Nath Koirala, professor and the head of the Department of Education at Tribhuvan University discussed on the condition of the education system, and the ways of developing technical education in Nepal.

In the event, panelist Subash Ghimire mentioned that more than 25% of the students in the fourth grade couldn't count double digit numbers.
Addressing the current issue of the country, Amigo Khadka also remarked that the lack of innovation was the barrier to the development of technical knowledge in the country.
The panel discussion was followed by a networking program. In the same event, the launch of ‘Teacher in Innovation Award 2018’ was also announced.
