Insurers earned 14.41 percent more from premium collection during first half of current FY

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Insurance companies collected A premium amount of Rs 90.01 billion in the first half of the current fiscal year - 14.41 percent more than the amount collected during the same period last year.


According to the Insurance Board (IB), the premium collection by the life insurers increased 12.21 percent to Rs 70.91 billion during mid-July and mid-January this fiscal year. Likewise, non-life insurers increased their premium collection amount by 25.65 percent to Rs 19 billion.
