KATHMANDU, April 14: The International Convention Center at New Baneshwar, Kathmandu, has initiated the process of appointing an Executive Director through an open competition.
The Ministry of Urban Development has issued a public notice inviting applications from interested Nepali citizens for the position of Executive Director of the International Convention Center within the next 21 days.
Applicants for the executive director position must meet the qualifications outlined in Section 3 of the Ministry of Urban Development's appointment and nomination guidelines for affiliated public bodies.

According to Section 3 of the guidelines, the candidates must hold at least a master's degree from a recognized university in engineering, administration, management, economics, or law.
Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of five years of managerial experience in an organization or body, along with specialized knowledge or experience in management or conference and assembly management.
Interested candidates are required to submit their personal details (bio-data), proof of Nepali citizenship, educational certificates, and certified copies of relevant experience documents along with their application.
Furthermore, applicants must submit a professional action plan for the enhancement of the international convention center, which should not exceed 5,000 words and should be enclosed in a separate envelope.
