Boptang Danda was chosen as the training location due to its suitability for paragliding, according to Gurung. Nineteen trainees from China, Hong Kong, India, and Nepal participated in the training, benefiting from practical exercises and technical knowledge sessions. The organizers mentioned that the trainees will continue practicing at the training ground for further skill development.
The decision to conduct the training in Udayapur stemmed from a previous paragliding accident in Pokhara, which led to the suspension of training activities there. The organizers believe that Udayapur, particularly Boptang Danda, offers a suitable alternative and conducive environment for paragliding activities.
Local pilot Jitendra Roila highlighted the potential of paragliding in promoting tourism in Udayapur and attracting foreign tourists to Nepal. He also mentioned the district's potential for cycling, paragliding, and rafting, making it an ideal destination for tourism promotion.
