KATHMANDU, Jan 23: The Interreflection-Nepal-Korea International Art Exchange Exhibition kicked off on Saturday at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal with the aim to promote cultural interaction between Nepal and Korea. The five-day art exhibition features 19 artists each from both the countries.
The art exhibition was inaugurated by cultural expert Satya Mohan Joshi. The exhibition features works on themes such as urbanization, nature, culture and womanhood. The exhibition looks like a melting pot of artists from Nepal and Korea where they have conceptualized similar feelings and expressions through the language of colors and motifs.

Moreover, the artists have shown the beauty of everyday things as well as the like mindedness while depicting the consequences of urbanization along with the beauty of people, animals and nature. Korean artist A Ryeong has painted two orange goldfishes inside a transparent jar using lively and soft tones of blue, pink and green among others. Likewise, Nepali artist Umesh Shah has created a woman wearing traditional clothes in brown carrying a huge orange fish.
Meanwhile, the exhibition is a visual treat for the visitors and has acted as a platform to look at how artists from Nepal and Korea are different yet similar while dealing with the chosen topics. The exhibition features veteran Nepali artists such as Shashi Shah, Birendra Pratap Singh and Madan Chitrakar, among others.
