It was July 30, 2004. The Department of Foreign Employment under the Nepal government granted 35 Nepali people permission to go to work in Middle East country Jordan.
A month after the permission was granted came the appalling news stating that 12 Nepalis were brutally killed in the war-torn country Iraq, leaving the entire world shocked.
